Business Roundtable

What Does the Business Roundtable Do

The Business Roundtable is a group of business leaders who partner with MiraCosta College to   assist the school in identifying the needs of our region’s businesses and industries in the area of  workforce development and in delivering the educational programs required to meet those needs. Business Roundtable members make an annual contribution of $2,500 or more to support this work.

At the Business Roundtable’s Inaugural meeting in September 2015, 78 business leaders consulted with Dr. Sunny Cooke and each other about the economic factors impacting their businesses and how MiraCosta College could be a part of ensuring their competitive edge by preparing a well-educated and trained local workforce.  The conversation resulted in a Summary Report that informed fall 2015 updates to the MiraCosta College Educational Master Plan, which determines educational priorities for the college.
