President's Circle

 

Purpose

 

The President's Circle was formed to help provide a source of unrestricted support to aid the President in sustaining programs vital to our mission such as funding scholarships for deserving students, stimulating new academic programs, and enhancing college outreach to the community.

 

Members of the President's Circle are alumni, parents, friends, and business and community leaders who form a circle of support for MiraCosta with a minimum unrestricted gift of $1,000.

 

  • Assisting Students
    In California Community colleges, sixty-five percent of our credit students are the first in their families to pursue a college degree. Your participation in the President's Circle can change the lives of current students and create a learning legacy.
  • Expanding Faculty Resources
    MiraCosta College hires faculty who are experts in their fields and love to teach. The President's Circle enhances faculty resources through funding special programs and instructional equipment.
  • Meeting Business Needs
    The President's Circle supports the development of the region's workforce by assisting students with tuition, textbooks, and other college fees. We actively seek new opportunities to partner with local businesses to provide the knowledge, skills, and training needed for our students to be successful in the workplace.

Whether you are an individual or a business considering joining the President's Circle there are great benefits associated with membership. First and foremost you will have the personal satisfaction of knowing that you are playing a significant role in creating a caring, dynamic and productive learning environment. As a member you will have the opportunity to work with the Foundation to create a customized benefits package that coincides with your interests. All members' benefits include:

 

  • Invitations to select events such as the Friends of the College, President's Circle Luncheons, campus events and lectures
  • Two tickets to a performing arts show of your choice
  • Access to the College President, the MiraCosta Foundation Board of Directors, and key faculty members
  • Public recognition of your support

 

How to Join

 

A gift of $1,000 or more will place you in the ranks of the MiraCosta College Foundation President's Circle, an elite group of donors who play a crucial role in advancing the College's dedication to scholarship, teaching and community service. The membership levels are $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000 and membership is renewed annually. Contributions are tax deductible.
