The MiraCosta Community College District has established the Office of Development to provide administration for the Foundation and carry out the fundraising and alumni/community outreach functions of the College.

In 2010, the MiraCosta College Development and Foundation office developed a strategic plan in partnership with the MiraCosta College Foundation Board and campus community.  A comprehensive and inclusive process to revise and update the strategic plan will be initiated in January 2017, allowing time for the MiraCosta College strategic plan to be revised, adopted and implemented.
