MiraCosta Promise
The need for a college educated workforce in the United States continues to grow. While access to higher education has become more important than ever, the cost of education continues to rise, making higher education simply unaffordable for many students from low and middle income families. It is MiraCosta's Promise to remove financial barriers to attending college by offering a year of college without fees and providing textbook funding support to all eligible students in our local community. Learn more about the MiraCosta Promise.

Annual Fund
For many of our students, living expenses, coupled with the costs of pursuing higher education, can be an overwhelming obstacle. The Annual Fund is a lifeline for these students, by providing immediate and essential financial support.

Emergency Grant
Through the Initiative, the Foundation set a goal to raise enough funds to underwrite 1,000 Student Emergency Response Kits. Each kit will provide qualified students with a $500 credit toward a customized combination of food, shelter, and access to online learning, including computers when called for, based upon each student’s specific need.
