Josh Mazur
Josh Mazur holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Appalachian State University with minors in English and International Business and lives in Carlsbad with his wife and three children. He is Director of Business Development at Guide My Finances, a financial planning firm in Carlsbad as well as a licensed general contractor and real estate broker.
In addition, Josh is a managing partner of a real estate development company, where he is responsible for supervising labor, performing work, and managing construction projects, including architectural design, material sourcing, permitting, financing, subcontracting, and legal agreements. Before his current position, he consulted for companies and public organizations on software integration, architecture, and implementation.
Having previously served as Chair of the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for MiraCosta College’s Proposition MM bond measure, Josh Mazur has a strong history of volunteer service, reflecting his strong commitment to education and MiraCosta College in particular. He also serves on the board of directors for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Carlsbad Educational Foundation. In addition, Josh volunteers with the Carlsbad Emergency Response Team and is an active member of Infragard, a nonprofit business organization that coordinates with the FBI on questions of infrastructure.
